Student Startup Business Center, COMSATS University Islamabad enrolled eight startups in Batch-VII. Detail is as under:
TOFIX is a startup company which aims to provide technological solutions to modern day problems. First project of the company is to engineer new generation E-Bicycles which will provide more convenient and more environment friendly commute to the younger generation. TOFIX also aims to promote E-bicycle culture in Pakistan.
Startup “Furnikia†provides an opportunity to get all your home needs done with the option of payment in installments and on monthly subscriptions. Furnikia is the place to get furniture, home decor and interior services
Startup ‘BioKeemia’ is aimed to making Pakistan self-sustained in the industry of biochemical. During first phase it will focus on the production of bio fertilizer and bio fungicide from microorganisms. During next phase it will target pharmaceuticals production from microorganisms.
Startup “Sustainability Pakistan†focuses on improving food security in Pakistan. The company offers to provide smart agriculture solutions to tackle with the ongoing climatic changes affecting local agricultural yields. The main objective is to introduce technological innovations to enhance quality food productivity in the country with strategies to improve crop production and increasing yields multiple times, thus transforming Pakistan into a sustainable food secure country.
Startup “SAWARI†is a mobile application (android). It will enable its users to book a car or a bike on rent. It will actually work as a connecting bridge between the commuter and the dealer. It will enable rent a car on a mobile tap, just like cab booking. This project isn’t limited to the car dealers, general public can provide their vehicles for renting. It also provides ranking and feedback facility to Vehicle Owner as well as customer to rank the other party and to know about the past comments.
Startup “Mohtarma†will develop an app which will provides women a platform to avail a public transport facility without safety concern during any part of the day. From this app women can also earn a respectful livelihood and be financially independent.
Startup “Helpful†is a blood donation and blood provider platform, Where a person in emergency will find specific blood or donor during an emergency. Someone needy might be unable to find someone to donate blood or he may be physically or financially disable to get blood at that time of emergency this application will help him connect with donors or blood banks and make measures to arrange the blood for him.
Most of the time you like some celebrity dress. And don't know where to get that dress in your city. As there is no hyper-local visual search platform available therefore you waste a lot of time in searching for that specific item. From this app (visual search) just click a photo and send us we will tell you the store where you find the product.
Want to introduce such a device that will we count the electricity unit used by the consumer. Device will present the complete history of unit usage on daily, weekly and monthly basis. Above all it will also inform the consumer about the expected amount of bill on the basis of his usage of electricity.
Developed a product which will inform transport officials about fuel level of any bus, along with its exact location and speed. The location of the bus will be available to the students and their parents as well via a smartphone application that will help them to locate their particular bus. The entry system of the buses will also be upgraded.
Saqaafat promotes and provide a platform for home-based workers who are incredible embroidery experts. Saqaafat will help to showcase their skills for creating beautiful patterns on shirt, Dupattas (shawls) and other handicrafts. Saqaafat promotes the diverse culture of Pakistan in a desirable way to create, to innovate, to inspire and to excel by providing a range of traditional dresses with modern style. This attitude is to bringing up the best and putting forward will result a strong and unique culture.
